Spindle
Spindle is about the transformation of finely crafted objects that have reached the end of their life into new objects of celebration by updating their aesthetic but retaining their visual language. Salvaged balusters found in a junk shop were transformed into stackable candlesticks. Sections of each spindle were re-turned on a lathe to alter the shapes and expose clean, smooth wood. The modular, magnetic candlesticks can be rearranged on whim to create a variety of groupings and heights.
